Minidance Film Festival Winners 2012

Congratulations to the winners of the Minidance Film Festival! All of the films that were entered into the Minidance Film Festival were amazing and were done really well, making it very hard to chose the winners! The films that were not chosen are still awesome and are definitely worth checking out! you can find them in the video section of the UtahFilmmakers website.  Thank you for entering your films and good luck in all future projects!  We hope to make an awesome environment to share your work with other people in the Utah Film Community.

The Art Institute and the Utah Film Commission held a film competition Wednesday night at the Sundance Film Festival for student filmmakers. The competition was an amazing experience and a hard one to judge!  The students all did an amazing job on their films and their prizes were well earned.

Minidance Film Festival  January 20, -27th, 2012For those who are not able to participate in the Sundance Film Festival, we

have created "Minidance". If you have a short film that you think is pretty

good, Upload it! There is no entry fee, no crowds, no parking and no travel.

 The Minidance Film Festival is for those who want to show off their work!

Anyone can enter and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will get their film

featured on the home page of

www.UtahFilmMakers.webs.com Utahs Filmmaking Community. Its not

much of a prize but for a film festival without an entry fee its an awesome

way to get your film in front of some of Utah's top film producers and

hundreds of people. 

Deadline to enter is January 26, 2012 at midnight.   

Winners will be announced January 27nth, 2012. 

Step 1 Become a member of www.UtahFilmMakers.webs.com if you haven't already. 

Step 2Click on "Videos" in the menu of the website. 

Step 3Click "Add Video" at the top of the page.  Make sure that "Minidance Film Festival" is selected in the drop down box.  

Step 4 Choose your method of sharing your video.  Choices include Using a Youtube URL, Embedding your video, Uploading your video, or searching for your video on Youtube. 

Upping Your Chances Of Winning. Once you have successfully added your video tell your friends to leave comments!  

The more comments your video gets the better chance you have of winning!

Sundance Film Festival brings in a lot of filmmakers from around the world, which is really awesome but what about all of the amazing filmmakers here in utah who didn't get in?  This is a shout out for all of the Utah Film Makers and Utah Video Production companies that still do amazing work!  Let us know what you think about the films at sundance, good or bad!
